The Saudi league, which has spent heavily this summer, has focused on Salah, with Jeddah United making a huge offer to Liverpool to provide Egyptian star Mohamed Salah with a high-paying contract, a media release said. The outlet revealed Salah has reached a personal agreement with Jeddah United, but Liverpool want to keep Salah for another year, allowing the club’s key scorer to wait until the summer of 2024 before leaving the team.
Salah played 51 games for the Reds last season, scoring 30 goals and dishing out 16 assists. Salah, 31, currently has a €65 million turnover and his contract with Liverpool FC expires in 2025.
Jeddah United have already signed a number of stars this summer, including Real Madrid striker Benzema and Chelsea midfielder Kante, as well as Salah’s Liverpool teammate Fabinho.
