South Korean pop band SEVENTEEN has teamed up with Sent Into Space to launch a disco ball microphone into space for their latest music video ‘God of Music’.

The aerospace company shared the news on Instagram on October 23, 2023, posting a behind-the-scenes photo of the launch. “We partnered with @sl8_official, the production company of Korean pop supergroup @saythename_17, to launch a disco ball microphone into space for their new music video ‘음악의신’ (God of Music),” the post read.

SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo also confirmed the news on Weverse, writing, “We really did send a microphone into space.

The music video for “God of Music” was released on the same day as the band’s eleventh full-length, “Seventeen Heavens”. The song set several records, including being the fastest idol group song to reach No. 1 on MelOn’s Top 100 music chart.
